In March we got together with our neighbors in our Swedish building and opened up our offices for a big after-hours get-together, which ended up with a jamming session in our music studio.

Meanwhile in London: Japanese movie night, complete with an overload of noodles. 🍜 🎬

But our strongest game this month, in all our offices, without it being orchestrated, was our FIKA game. SUPER important to take a break from work and have a Swedish fika = eating something small while having a hot brew together with friends! All Pirates do FIKA very well. 🏴‍☠️ ❤️ 🍪

February might have been short, but we packed in as much fun as possible!

🏖️ Stockholm escaped to a tropical paradise—no passport needed!
🎯 London took aim with some target shooting.
🦑 Hamburg stepped into VR and battled it out in Squid Game-style.
🥂 And of course, we raised our glasses (and forks) with cake and cava to celebrate our VES wins and nominations!

We couldn’t be prouder—cheers to the crew, and bring it on, March! 🔥

✨ The year isn’t over yet, but we’re already excited about what’s to come! ✨

In May at FMX 2025, our VFX Supervisor, Martin Hernblad, will join forces with Torbjörn Olsson, Ronja’s Production VFX Supervisor, to reveal how they transformed the timeless Swedish tale Ronja, the Robber’s Daughter into an enchanting streaming experience for @netflix — blending storytelling with cutting-edge visual effects.

🎄 This Friday we wrapped up the Christmas shenanigans for this year in Stockholm, London, and Hamburg.

Gifts were exchanged, delicious food was enjoyed, drinks flowed, and plenty of fun was had!

🦇 Last Friday, we transformed our Stockholm office into a Vampire's lair for a full day of fun!

From starting the day with a cozy waffle breakfast, to Halloween fika, and ending with our very own Vampire Nightclub—complete with smoky drinks, a costume contest, and live music from our incredible in-house band, Shotgun Replicas! 🩸 🎸

A huge thank you to everyone who joined in, making this event unforgettable. It’s the spirit, talent, and creativity of our Pirates that keeps ILP so alive (or undead)! 🖤 🏴‍☠️

Even as the days grow shorter, there’s always something to brighten our spirits at ILP!

🎙️ Our CG Supervisor Jens Lindgren took the stage at FilmFest Sundsvall, inspiring future filmmakers alongside industry icons. In Stockholm, we welcomed an enthusiastic class from NTI Eskilstuna, giving them a glimpse into VFX careers at ILP.

💂‍♂️ Over in London, our team put the final touches on the office just in time for our big inauguration party, and yesterday, they got cozy over a potluck and some movies in the office.

⚓ And our Hamburg office marked its second anniversary, celebrating two years of amazing projects and pirate spirit in Germany!

This September, our Emmy nominated Pirates crossed the Atlantic and came back as winners! We also talked about instancing techniques in Houdini at the Hive Horizon in Toronto. Meanwhile, in Stockholm, we transformed the office with a full day of authentic British experiences from morning scones, afternoon tea, and a proper pub quiz. 🍻

It's time for our yearly Pirate Week!

First day of gathering all Pirates in the Stockholm office for fun activities, knowledge sharing, and long-awaited encounters.

April brought camaraderie and gatherings to all ILP locations. The Hamburg office hosted pirates from Stockholm, while the London office welcomed its first furry companions. In Stockholm, Pirates went on a moose's field trip and worshiped the sun as all Swedes do this time of year. Aspiring VFX artists visited the office and got to learn some secrets from seasoned Pirates.

It was great meeting with you all at FMX last week!

We had a fantastic time at ComiCon Scandinavia! It's always a pleasure when fans of the shows we work on are eager to hear about our projects.

Join us at ComicCon Nordic on May 5th for a Show'n'Tell session with ILP's co-founder, Niklas Jacobson. At 1 pm, he'll speak about ILP's journey and reveal how we became visual effects providers for blockbuster titles like The Last Airbender, Star Wars, Jurassic World, Stranger Things, Fallout, Indiana Jones, Shogun, and many more.

In Hamburg, our delighted team watched Dune and welcomed a cheeky gremlin to the office. The Stockholm squad soaked up the first sun in a while and enjoyed a visit from our friends at Saava. Over in London, the dust is settling as construction wraps up, and we’ve kicked off the decorating spree. The opening of our London office is in the horizon!

Jens Lindgren, CG Supervisor at ILP, took the stage at Comicon this weekend. He shared his working journey and talked about ILP's work on the "Mandoverse", including The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Ahsoka.
