Important Looking Pirates is a world class visual effects and digital animation studio, founded in Stockholm in 2007 by artists for artists. We have since grown into an award winning studio, with offices in Sweden, Germany and the UK.
Our vision is to be at the vanguard of VFX content creation, renowned for the quality of our work and services as well as for the depth of our company culture.
All Pirates, artists, technicians and support personnel are driven by the passion for what we do, and always strive to push the limits of what can be accomplished.

Our locations
Stockholm
Our award-winning Swedish head office is located on the island of Riddarholmen in central Stockholm. Inaugurated in 2017, it offers not only beautiful views over the city but also an attractive workspace with all the amenities to make you feel at home, whether at the gym, the cinema, the karaoke room, the library or the gaming room.
Hamburg
Our German office opened in Hamburg in 2022 and is located in the vibrant Altona district. Here, you can live the life of a Pirate, socializing and working in the office close to the harbor, bars, and lively local culture.
London
Our UK office is nestled in the heart of East London. If you wish to take a break from work, Shoreditch's lively and fashionable district is just around the corner, offering an array of superb cocktail bars, restaurants, and coffee shops. Meanwhile, back at the office, you'll find the fridge fully stocked, the screening room ready, shuffleboard and karaoke awaiting your return.
