Jurassic World: Rebirth
Five years post-Jurassic World Dominion, an expedition braves isolated equatorial regions to extract DNA from three massive prehistoric creatures for a groundbreaking medical breakthrough.

ILP had the chance to revisit the world of Jurassic once again, delivering 157 shots across 9 sequences for the legendary saga. While the focus was on environment work and set extensions, both indoors and outdoors, we also got to sink our teeth into a few exciting creature shots with one creature, fully designed by ILP.
All sequences called for unique visual effects work ranging from CG environment extensions and creature animation to complex multi layered rigid- and softbody simulations. Sculpting the highly detailed head of a dead giant prehistoric Dunkleosteos shark caught in a fishing net amongst thousands of wiggling simulated fish to then spill out onto the deck of a fishing vessel demonstrates the diversity of work we completed for this beloved franchise.
For the past and present day laboratory sequences we created a CG set extension of the D-Rex holding cell and added a Mutadon laboratory dinosaur to the set built tank props.
The New York sequence features an entirely ILP designed mural as well as showing the tragic collapse of an Apatosaurus amongst a New York traffic jam.
Following our heroes through the jungle we also animated tentacles lurking in the swamps including interactive water simulations as well as adding a crashed military helicopter into the tree canopy.
A fun and creative task was designing a large salamander like creature and taking it all the way from concept art to final build and shot production.
Another major sequence was set in the natural history museum where we replaced a religious mural and either extended or added various dinosaur skeletons to the exhibition.
